St James Lutheran College
Project Detail
St James Lutheran College was a design and construct project located in Hervey Bay.
The project included construction of a 480m2 library, an information technology area serviced with flushed floor power data boxes, interactive whiteboards, a tearoom, reading room and washroom facilities.
The team also completed a 438m2 classroom, constructed on timber bearers and joists floor frame, with light weight wall frames and a Bondor sandwich panel roof structure.
External works included a new 150mm fire service with hydrant booster and diesel powered fire pump, in addition to a new water main and stormwater system, reticulated though the college.
The project also included construction of new car parking and driveway areas, new pathways (some with covered walkway links) and a structural steel bus shelter.
Completed in time for the new 2010 school year, St James College expanded from being just a primary school to running year 8 classes for the first time.
