Juniper Mews and Market St Terraces
Juniper Mews and Market St Terraces are a group of townhouses located within the prestigious suburb of Breakfast Point. Each of the 12 townhouses consist of 3 bedrooms, large combined living dining, internal double garages and some with studios and internal private courtyards. These townhouses are unique to Breakfast Point in that there are no other townhouse developments available in the area. The townhouses are situated on the high side of Breakfast Point and offer views of the city and the harbour.
Juniper Mews and Market St Terraces is a hybrid Design and Construct project in which Giles and Tribe Architects and Taylor, Lauder, Bersten Engineers were novated and all other design disciplines have been managed by PBS Building. The project is valued $6milion and was completed in January 2005.
The project consists of two rows of 6 townhouses with a common driveway between them. The 2-storey Juniper Mews consisted of slab on ground construction, with brick veneer to the ground floor and Newport cladding to the timber frame of the upper floor. The 3-storey Market St Terraces consisted of slab on ground construction, load bearing cavity masonry to the ground floor, brick veneer to level one, and timber framed Newport cladding to the upper floor.
Inclusions consisted of day/night zoned air-conditioning, audio intercom, granite benchtops, polyurethane joinery and stainless steel appliances. Part of the construction involved the landscaping of a park and water feature for residents of the community.
