Fraser Coast Cultural Centre is a community project for the Fraser Coast Regional Council and consists of a theatre room, display area for arts and cultural exhibitions, staff offices, amenities and car parking facilities.

The construction consists of concrete tilt panels with specialised moulds which join to form the Fraser Coast Waterways and areas of aboriginal significance, 500m2 of specialised zinc wall cladding and extensive glass panels. 1966m2 of hardwood decking area around the perimeter of the building together with coloured concrete paving and external car parking facilities. Internally 1062m2 of concrete floors have been honed and polished and there is extensive specialised mechanical equipment to keep the theatre and display rooms to strict temperature controls to allow for visiting artwork to be displayed and preserved.

Additional custom made sculptures are strategically positioned around the building including a life size hardwood and stainless steel whale shown breaching from the ground in front of the building in the adjacent pedestrian access corridor. The whale is over 22 tonne and has been sculptured by local artists. The project was completed in October 2012, within the contract timeframe.
